You’ll see photos of our May luncheon in Greensboro, made possible by a group of friends who wanted to support our work serving PALS in NC’s Piedmont Triad. Check out the images of our ALS Rivalry Softball Challenge, which takes place annually thanks to the team at Knothole Foundation of the Carolinas and the many incredible ALS families who come out to play each year. Our annual Live Every Day event raised more than $140,000 to support our in-home caregiving programming in 2024, thanks to the dedication of individual supporters and local companies like Joyride Productions and Cookies on the Side who helped us deliver a fun and impactful evening…<\/p>\n\t\t\t per year<\/p>\n\t\t\t per year<\/p>\n\t\t\t per item<\/p>\n\t Each year, we share the results of our annual Client Satisfaction Survey, which explores the ways that our free services help save money, equip people living with ALS (PALS), and support their family members. 100% of respondents this year were “very pleased” with the services they received.<\/p>\n\t\t\t – Spouse of a PALS served by JMALSF<\/p>\n\t\t\t Improving awareness about ALS is a priority for us. We are grateful to our supporters and friends in the communities where we are working for helping us share the work we do! Here are a few highlights from this year:<\/p>\n Neil Cottrell provides PALS Jim (pictured here with his wife) regular transportation services so they can get to important appointments. Using the JMALSF van helps families stay active together if they have not yet purchased their own van, or are not able to afford these specialized vehicles. We have provided 64 trips so far this year across North Carolina!<\/p>\n\t\t\t (In-home caregiving, wheelchair-accessible transportation, education and caregiver workshops, respite services, Joe’s Camp, education and advocacy activities)<\/p>\n\t\t\t (Management, fundraising, and administrative costs)<\/p>\n\t\t\t Total Income to date including individual giving, grants and foundations, and in-kind goods and services<\/p>\n Staff Caregiver Lynne Stinson helps PALS Asia get up and get going three morning a week. Lynne helps with activities of daily living like bathing, dressing, range of motion exercises, and making sure that manicure is perfect!
