From now until New Year’s Eve, you can purchase a “Cindy Lou” cocktail throughout the Charlotte at area Flying Biscuit, Pizza Peel, and Improper Pig restaurants to support The Joe Martin ALS Foundation.
The cocktail was created and sold to raise funds for ALS research in honor of Cindy Monteith by her son at his Chicago restaurant, The Happy Village. Cindy hopes the sale of the Cindy Lou in Charlotte will give tremendous support to the foundation that is helping her with free care and support.
She shared, “I appreciate The Joe Martin ALS Foundation for being there as it matters to us with ALS; with equipment, compassionate and knowledgeable home care, and transport. And of course there is Joe’s Camp for children which does remarkable work. I am passionate about supporting this foundation so that more folks get access to their services.”
10% of each Cindy Lou sold at participating restaurants will go to JMALSF to provide free home care and services offered by the foundation. The Cindy Lou, which includes bourbon, cherry liqueor, ginger-honey, and lemon, is served over ice with soda.
Participating locations include The Flying Biscuit at Park Road Shopping Center, the four area Pizza Peel restaurants in Plaza Midwood, Cotswold, Matthews, and Rea Farms, and the two Improper Pig restaurants in Fort Mill and Rea Farms. All restaurants are part of the Stomp, Chomp, and Roll Restaurant Group based in Charlotte. The program will run through December 31st.
Owner Will Bigham shares, “I am excited to support The Joe Martin ALS Foundation in honor my friends and fellow basketball players, Joe B. and David Martin. Their father, Joe, was a great person.”
Thank you Will, Stomp, Chomp, and Roll and all participating restaurants for supporting JMALSF!
